Events 43 started in 2024. We are not going to tell you we have been doing this for fifteen years.
How we work
Most event companies here are booked from a city and flown in. We live on the hill. That means we know which lawns hold water after a week of rain, which halls have a generator that actually starts, and how long it really takes to get a hundred guests up from Mettupalayam on a Saturday.
We take on a small number of events at a time and put the same people on each one from the first site visit to the last truck out. There is no account manager layer. You will talk to the people holding the clipboard.
The name
The 43 is ours, and it turns up across everything we run — it is on the stage backdrop at the fête as inside43.

The mark
The band running through our monogram is Toda embroidery — pukhoor — the geometric red-and-black needlework of the Toda community, who have lived on these downs far longer than any of us. It is the Nilgiris’ own line of craft, and it is why the lattice repeats across this site: at the section breaks, down the footer, in the mark itself.
We use it with permission of the eye, not of ownership. If you are in Ooty, buy the real thing from the women who make it.
